Hello, Again!

Today, June 10, 2007, marks the beginning of new things. A lot of things have started late last year and early this year but I would mark this day as the official start of these things.

When it started, Tenten and I have boldly predicted 2007 to be a big year for each of us. How fast time flies – the year is almost half over and is SEEMS that it’s still the same year as the other “BIG” years we have predicted: 2004, 2005, 2006. Hehehehe!

Here are proofs of what I am trying to say:

Paalam, 502! Hello, 715!

According to our 502 logbook, we have been staying in 502 Asia Tower since June 2002. 5 years! It’s been a witness to a lot of things and home to a lot of other people and happenings. The original members are: Namee (who’s rocking in NY now!), Teng and Keysi. We’ve had several other roommates: Princess, Tippi, Jade, Hazel and Pam. I don’t even know where to begin my kuwentos about this place. The most common happening here probably is the INUMAN. Hahaha! There was a point where we would have DAILY inumans (that’s not ALMOST everyday…IT’S everyday!). We’d buy several bottles of beer and drink with the 502 regulars. Crazy! That went on for a long time before the daily sessions became occasional (due to old age?). Hehehe! I’d let these pictures describe how it was the past years:

INSERT PHOTOS HERE

Today, we started packing our stuff. We are finally saying goodbye to our second home. I have spent more time here in the past 5 yeas than our home in Pampanga.

Packing stuff to move out is…a pain. Hehehe! I didn’t realize we had this much stuff. We would pack each partition of the shelf (mostly books) in one plastic bag and then rest and grab some biscuits first before proceeding to the next partition. Soon, the biscuits were not enough – we were craving for something else… from pancit canton to rice and ulam.

We are moving to a new place – VERY far from where we are… 2 floors up to be more specific. We are transferring to 715! New home, new beginning! And we have a phone line finally! Hahaha! Utang na loob TENG! Magpacable na tayo!!! HAHAHA!

You cannot see it in this photo but the TV antenna has a FORK attached to it! Yes – as in fork in fork and spoon. Done in the attempt to get better signal (we don’t have cable) but really, what can you expect to get from a fork? Hehehe!

That’s Teng doing her part in the kitchen counter! And look at the tower of shoe boxes on the right – I own 4 pairs siguro, Pam claims to own 3 pairs…so Teng owns the rest of the 1458 pairs! See the partition on the lower left of the photo, that too contains some of Teng’s shoes!

Hmm! Teng, we should remember to get the Jack Daniel’s sign!

Other kuwentos: I called Home Service Massage after cleaning for…guess what? Massage shempre! I had it in the new unit – binyag! Hehehe! The girl who did my massage looks like a 14 year old girl but had the strength of a 300-lb woman. Kakaiba! I think she was trying to remove the “noise” coming out of my back (those “bubbles”) below the shoulders. I think she was probably hitting a bone or muscle but she didn’t stop until my hour is done. I checked my back after she left and saw 2 red vertical marks on my back. Nakakatawa!

After that, I slept (or probably passed out because of the pain) and woke up at 7PM to get ready for the 830PM mass in Don Bosco. First time ko! It started out past 830PM. The commentator apologized to the parishioners and said “the priest is on HER way”. I told Teng I didn’t know we have female priests na! And I only missed mass 2 Sundays ago! Pam goes “mali sha… dapat priestess”. Hahaha! I couldn’t stop myself from laughing. Meanie!

We went to quick stomach later to grab dinner. We thought of grabbing drinks after but went home instead. I got coffee from quick stomach which was bitter according to Teng and it was really black – latak na ata eh! Yun pa ata yun ininom ng mga laseng nun Friday night eh! I don’t think the coffee was strong enough though but I couldn’t tell if it was because my tongue was really burned because of the sili I ate. Hehehe!

Now, I am writing this in 502 – while Pam is watching Heroes and Teng is in the bath room.

Tomorrow, I (still) have work (hahaha) and will probably attend my ball practice for WABL.

This leads me to my next item… =D

Goodbye (soon), Accenture! Hello, Unemployment!

This deserves its own blog entry (and I will give its own) so I will keep this post short…

But how do you keep 6 years and 2 months short? =D

Yes, I have filed my resignation from Accenture. (Yes, people! I have done it! I know I’ve said it a thousand times but never had the balls to do it!) Final day is June 29th, 2007. It’s the longest month in my entire career.

How does it feel? Honestly, I don’t know. Yet. Excited at the thought of starting anew. Scared for the same reason. It’s the only job I’ve ever had after college. Maybe that’s it! I don’t know what it’s like to be out there – to be away from my comfort zone. We’ll see how it goes in the coming weeks. I have my exit interview on June 15th.

Side note: The list of things of you have to get done to get cleared: longer than the lines in All Flip Flops! GRABE! ALMOST made me think twice. ALMOST! Hahaha!

And to answer the possible next question: no, I don’t have a new job yet. Talk about having balls! Hahaha!

This again leads me to my last item:

Hello again, BLOGGING!

Hahaha! Yes, in anticipation of my soon-to-be petix days (hopefully, not months), I am reviving my blogging days.

Yes, I’ve had one before – 2005 when all I do was rant about long hours of work! I will think about linking it to this blog (but it’s not difficult to search anyway). I didn’t want to use the same blog so I created this new one.

We’ll see how it goes, folks! Cheers to 2007.
